K-drama cameos are fun little surprises for fans. When you recognize an unexpected face on the screen, it’s like being part of a secret drama club! Here (in no particular order) are just a few of the best K-drama cameos:

1. Yoon Eun Hye, Personal Taste, episode 8

This cameo is for every person who has ever wished that Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Min Ho would share the screen in a romantic drama. Sadly, Eun Hye was only onscreen for a few minutes as Lee Min Ho’s ex.

(Fun fact: Kim Nam Gil also had an unscripted cameo in this drama when he happened to be passing by the filming site and agreed to sit in as a patron in a coffee shop.)

2. Kim Hyun Joong, Dream High, episode 1

3. Gong Yoo, Dating Agency: Cyrano, episode 9

This lighthearted comedy is stuffed to the brim with cameos, but one of the best has to be Gong Yoo. For almost the entire episode, the agency’s client (played by Jung Yu Mi) talks about her dream man, but we never get to see him until the very end of the episode, when he sloooooowly turns around to reveal that it was Gong Yoo all along. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time someone has chosen Gong Yoo as their dream man….

4. Lee Jong Hyuk and Lee Chun Hee, The Master’s Sun, episodes 11, 14-17

Speaking of Dating Agency: Cyrano, both Lee Jong Hyuk and Lee Chun Hee popped up in The Master’s Sun. Okay, so Lee Chun Hee was more like an extended guest appearance than a cameo, but he showed up so late into the series that it was still a pleasant surprise to see his face. Lee Jong Hyuk was the perfect choice to play the CEO of a rival mall. Lee Jong Hyuk also had a cameo in the first episode of Flower Boy Next Door as a fortune teller.

5. UEE, Park Shin Hye and Lee Hong Ki, My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho, episodes 5, 6, and 16

The Hong Sisters love cameos, and it was especially apparent in My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho, where several cast members from their previous drama You Are Beautiful made appearances. If you pay close attention, you’ll notice that Park Shin Hye and Lee Hong Ki even use the same character names!

6. Lee Seung Gi, Greatest Love, episode 9

In yet another cameo for a Hong Sisters drama, Lee Seung Gi hilariously played himself as a parallel to Cha Seung Won’s actor character. See them together again in You Are All Surrounded!

7. Gong Hyo Jin, Flower Boy Ramen Shop, episode 9

Gong Hyo Jin is good friends with Jung Il Woo, so she made a small appearance as a clerk in a record store.

8. Sooyoung and Jung Yong Hwa, A Gentleman’s Dignity, episodes 5 and 13

Idol cameos are pretty common, but what makes Sooyoung’s cameo extra enjoyable is knowing that she would later go on to costar with Lee Jong Hyuk in Dating Agency: Cyrano. Yong Hwa supported cast member and fellow CNBLUE bandmate Lee Jong Hyun by appearing as one of Yi Soo’s former students.

9. Kang Gary, Emergency Couple, episode 6

It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo, but the line about the cab driver who looks like Kang Gary is a fun inside joke for Running Man fans.

10. Son Ye Jin, Secret Garden, episode 20

As far as second lead consolation prizes go, Son Ye Jin helping make Philip Lee’s dreams come true is pretty great.
